Bringing something into the world that didn't exist yesterday is really a fun process. Especially when you've never done anything like it before. I'd never designed a motorcycle, nor built one. I learned the skills, tools and technologies required to bring the bike to life. And bring it to life we did!

The concept painting

I started by studying the lines of the original Aston Martin DB9 as that was the inspiration the collector had selected. I then started to capture the base brand lines as they translated into a 2 wheel platform. I went through about 15 iterations before finalizing the form above.

The finish bike

Once the concept had been approved, my business partner and I built the bike from scratch. We selected a British powerplant, put it on a table and began to sculpt around it. In the end, several folks helped throughout the build. A special hat tip to Fraser, my body guy who made this thing as smooth as glass.

The original sculpt

Hand sculpted foam becomes the base form for making molds that get made while destroying the original work.

Over 100 bespoke pieces

Crafting a one-off bike means designing one-off pieces - for this project over 100 unique parts had to be designed, hand fabricated and assembled.

The finished piece

Taking 1 year, 400 hours and a team of highly skilled individuals to bring to life. Delta Bravo 9iner is a 'masterpiece' come to life.
