This piece was a gift for a friends wedding. It was one of the most difficult carvings I've ever done due to the lettering work on the face of the heart. I taught myself the techniques required to do micro-chisel soft forms by hand. Sure, you can get stuff laser cut now-a-days... but wheres the fun in that.
